Macadamia oil is as sweet on your body as it is in your cookies! This oil is used to keep skin soft and supple. It contains the highest amount of palmitoleic acid of any plant. This Omega 7 fatty acid is what makes young skin so bright and resilient. It acts as an emollient, which means it attracts moisture from the air and naturally moisturizes the skin. As we age, our skin contains less and less of this important acid. Using macadamia oil as part of your beauty regime replaces the palmitoleic acid that may be lacking in your skin, and helps fight wrinkles and dryness. Macadamia oil is a great way to restore your hair’s luster, soothe sunburn and skin irritation and decrease the appearance of scars. Sweet!
Directions: For general skin care, dispense a small amount of the specialty oil into the palm of your hand. Rub hands together to spread evenly and pat onto your face, hair or other desired area. For an added benefit, mix each pump of oil with 1 to 2 drops of your favorite Via Nature essential oil.
