Our Silica is an extract from the horsetail herb. Silica is naturally occurring in horsetail, it is bound to the natural, organic chemicals in the horsetail plant (bioflavonoids) and remains bound throughout the extraction process. By allowing our Silica supplement to naturally retain its bioflavonoids (which are part of the vitamin C complex) we are providing a more nutritious product without synthetic additives.

Please be aware that our Silica product is quite different from, and has nothing to do with inorganic silica. Inorganic silica is basically just powdered quartz and very difficult for the body to absorb. There are many other forms of inorganic silica that do not meet the high standards of Alta Health Products. When inorganic silica is added to organic (i.e. vegetal) silica in this way, the body still cannot absorb it because the human body cannot absorb rocks!

Alta Health Products' silica, in contrast, contains no inorganic silica. Our product contains only 100% vegetal silica plus the associated bioflavonoids from the horsetail plant; it is highly bioavailable (absorbed and utilized easily within the body) compared to inorganic silica.

Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 1 to 3 tablets daily, preferably with meals.
