Quercetin Bioflavonoid Complex
Natural Factors Quercetin capsules are enhanced with Citrus Bioflavonoids, Bromelain and Rutin. Bioflavonoids are brightly-coloured substances that are found in fruits and vegetables, typically as a companion to vitamin C.
Bioflavonoids are essential for proper absorption of vitamin C and have been shown to have antioxidant properties, increase capillary strength and keep collagen healthy.
Quercetin:, one of the more prominent bioflavonoids found primarily in blue-green algae, has a beneficial effect on numerous ailments. It modulates allergic responses, hypersensitivity disorders, and circulatory disease. It has anti-inflammatory properties, and inhibits lipid peroxidation and free radical production.
Quercetin is not easily absorbed and so Natural Factors included bromelain, a natural protein-digesting enzyme derived from pineapples in this formula.
Bromelain has its own anti-inflammatory properties which enhance the effect of quercetin.
