Our Milk Shampoo is one of our most popular products. It was originally made for a family member who had a scalp so itchy they went to bed with olive oil on their scalp and cling wrap around their head. It took us 6 months of trialing until we were able to banish the cling wrap to the kitchen for good.
We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleaners as this can be gentler on the hair than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that wash and foam up fairly well, although the foaming action isn’t quite as intense as it would if we used a synthetic detergent like SLS (or other common culprits that end in –fate). But we’re happy to make this small trade-off to use more natural ingredients that are healthier for us and the environment. This just means a little more agitation required to build up the lather, which if you look at it another way, a great excuse for a head massage.
One thing we hear a lot about our shampoo is how lovely the smell is. We couldn’t agree more. For this, we sourced a phthalate-free fragrant oil so you can have beautiful smelling hair without the sensitivity.

Milk shampoo is known for its nourishing and moisturizing properties that can benefit your hair and scalp. Here are some tips on how to use milk shampoo effectively:
Before applying milk shampoo, wet your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. This will help in opening up the hair cuticles and allowing the shampoo to penetrate better.
Take a small amount of milk shampoo in your palm and massage it gently onto your scalp and hair. Make sure to focus on the roots and work your way down to the tips.
Massage the milk shampoo into your scalp using circular motions. This will help in stimulating blood circulation and promoting hair growth. Lather up the shampoo to ensure all areas are covered.
Allow the milk shampoo to sit on your hair for a few minutes to let the nourishing ingredients work their magic. This will also help in deeply cleansing and moisturizing your hair.
Rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water until all the shampoo is washed out. Make sure there is no residue left behind to prevent build-up.
If needed, you can follow up with a milk conditioner to further nourish and hydrate your hair. Apply the conditioner from mid-length to the tips and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.
By following these steps, you can make the most out of your milk shampoo and enjoy its benefits for healthy and luscious hair.
