Each emery board has 2 sides to shape and smooth the nails. The coarse side shapes nails- while the fine side smoothes and finishes. To use, hold the emery board at a slight angle just under the nail. Beginning with the coarse side of the board, start on one side of the nail tip and work toward the center. Then file the other side of the nail in the same direction.

To prevent splitting, file only in one direction. After shaping the nail as desired, use the fine side of the board in the same way to smooth and finish the details. Make sure to replace the file when worn.

Contains a total of 15 Emery Boards [3 sizes, 5 pieces each size.]

Comparison of Emery Boards with Similar Products

Emery boards are commonly used for nail care and maintenance. Let's compare them with similar products:

1. Emery Boards vs. Nail Files

Nail files are typically made of metal, glass, or ceramic materials, while emery boards are made of cardboard or foam with an emery or sandpaper coating. Emery boards are preferred by some individuals for their flexibility and ease of use, especially for shaping and smoothing nails.

2. Emery Boards vs. Nail Buffers

Nail buffers are used to smooth the surface of the nails and create a shiny finish. Emery boards, on the other hand, are primarily used for shaping and filing the nails. Nail buffers can be a great addition to your nail care routine after using an emery board to shape your nails.

3. Emery Boards vs. Electric Nail Files

Electric nail files are powered tools that can quickly file and shape nails. While electric nail files offer convenience and speed, emery boards are more affordable and portable. Emery boards are a great option for those who prefer a manual approach to nail care.

Overall, emery boards are a versatile and cost-effective tool for nail care, suitable for shaping and filing nails at home or on the go.
