Diatomaceous Earth packaged under the Lumino label comes from an extremely pure fresh water deposit. It is almost pure white and consists of at least 85% Silicon Dioxide. Darker colored Diatomaceous Earth often contains an excess of other minerals such as iron, or a high percentage of clay.

DE is a natural deodorizer for garbage cans, vacuum cleaner bags, refrigerators, and foot wear. Leave a very thin layer on carpets for a minimum of six hours before vacuuming to remove pet odors.
The FDA has allowed DE for agricultural use since the 1960's. Numerous studies have shown that feeding DE results in improved animal health and growth. The recommended amount is 2% dry weight. If mixed with water use one teaspoon per cup of liquid. Lumino's DE is neutral tasting.
