Cordyceps
Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) comes from the high elevation regions of China. This "Chinese Caterpillar" fungus has been used as an adaptogen in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Its use in this country has been primarily confined to energy production dynamics with applications in athletic enhancement and overall health. Research has shown an increase in liver ATP:Pi (inorganic phosphate) ratio indicating more energy within the liver for metabolism. The active components of this product are not well defined but current research indicates the nucleotides (adenosine), polysaccharides, cordycepin and amino acids are responsible for its therapeutic potential. Research indicates cordyceps has a very low incidence of toxicity. MRM’s Cordyceps contains the natural CS-4 strain that most closely matches the Cordyceps Sinensis, which is highly regarded and grows atop the high plateaus of Tibet. Cordyceps has also shown to increase Superoxide Dismutase (SOD - an overall antioxidant) activity, support immune and kidney health and balance glucose metabolism.

Directions: Take 1-2 capsules up to 3 times daily with a meal or as directed by your qualified healthcare provider.
