What is Bupleurum?
Bupleurum ( Bupleurum chinense ) is an ornamental plant that grows as tall as 3 feet, and resembles fennel or dill. It has elongated leaves and blooms in the summer with clusters of yellow-green flowers. The root is the part of the plant that is used to make herbal tinctures and extracts. This herb has been called several names including Chinese Thoroughwax, Chai Hu, Hare’s Ear Root, and Saiko.
What is Bupleurum used for?
Bupleurum is a revered natural herb that has been used for thousands of years in the Traditional Chinese System. It was considered an herb that supports the flow of ‘chi’ which describes the Chinese concept of the flow of life force energy.
