Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer (Ginseng radix). This ginseng, named after the botanist and explorer C.A.Meyer, is the most ancient and recognized species of ginseng, and is the primary species used in scientific studies. Extensive clinical studies over the past 20 years show that this Ginseng has two main effects: 1) adaptogenic: it enhances the body's non-specific response to external stress and 2) improves physical and mental performance.

Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer is a ginseng product that has a constant composition for reproducible results, and contains the biologically important group of ginsenosides (protopanaxadiol and protopanaxatriol) and their derivatives, Rb1 and Rg1. Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer is extracted from the main roots of four- to six-year-old plants and is standardized to contain a minimum level of 7% ginsenosides with the correct ratio of Rg1/Rb1.
